Perez answers puzzling multicultural questions...

On Wednesday, November 14th, Pedro Perez shed light on some puzzling issues surrounding Ocala's multicultural community.

Florida's Hispanic community is growing at an exciting rate - double the original Census 2000 predication. Perez illuminated on the complexities of marketing to the Hispanic population, given their inner-cultural and generational diversity. He also advised on how precarious translation can be – in all media including the web. He reports that one of the the best ways to reach today's Latin community is through direct mail, which shows a 78% return. He adds, "First generation Hispanics want to be involved. They don't go out a lot, and they don't receive a lot of mail in spanish, so they read everything they get in the mail." He indicated that the overall ROI with the Hispanic community is a whopping 83% return.

GOAdFed Welcomes New Chair of Communications

OCALA, FL – Greater Ocala Advertising Federation is excited to announce their new communications officer. Adriana Rosas has joined GOAdFed as the Chair of Communications. Rosas brings 15 years in public relations to the already outstanding GOAdFed leadership table.

The Ocala branch of the organization follows the national objective and the mission of AAF through advocacy and protection of advertising interest. Rosas’ role will be to communicate and serve the local chapter through community awareness and business initiatives that strengthen GOAdFed’s presence. “I’m so happy that Adriana has selected Ocala as her home to start her business; we can really use her insight on the Board,” says Jessica Miller, President for GOAdFed.
